Ryan LOVES going grocery shopping these days. He asks to go all the time, and if I tell him we don't have any more of some food he asks for, he tells me we need to go to the grocery store to get it.
Yesterday when we came home from Grandma's house (after being there for over a week) it was just before lunch time and nap time. He was tired from waking up at 5am, and likely hungry. He cried when we came into the house, and was crying walking around. We kept asking if it wanted certain foods (he favorite ones), and he kept saying no. Finally we figured out he was upset that we brought him home instead of going to the grocery store (I told him in the car we would be going). When I asked him if he wanted to go with me to the grocery store, all the crying stopped and he was happy and ran to the potty so we could leave. He ate lunch in the car, didn't fall asleep in the car even though it was nap time, and loved every moment in the store.
What does he tell you he wants to buy at the grocery store if you ask him?
Bananas, chicken, SCALLOPS, tomatoes, green beans, hummus, strawberries, blueberries, eggs...
